After entering the airport main gate, Airfield Lane, drive slowly on the road/taxiway to the last hanger on the left.  Park on the taxiway past the hanger.  In the hanger is Arne’s Cessna 206 as well as a beautiful RV-8, a Baron, and a Mooney that share the hanger that some might like to see.  Pot luck and the Chapter will provide some soft drinks, water and paper plates, utensils, etc.  Those with planes are encouraged to fly over and park in front of the hanger if there is room.  If not, park on the main ramp.  The Bay Area Aero Club is having their annual Spring party on the same day we have sent word that they should come over and visit.  No entertainment planned.  Just eating, visiting, and airplane watching.  Folding chairs are recommended as well as sunscreen and mosquito spray just in case…..  The whole family is welcome, but please be aware there are hazards in the hanger for children of all ages.

Welcome to Experimental Aircraft Association,

Chapter 12 - Greater Houston, Texas Area Chapter

Located at Ellington Field, Houston, TX (KEFD)

Come see what Events we have on our calander.

What is EAA?...

The Experimental Aircraft Association is an organization that promotes all forms of recreational aviation. It was started in 1953 by a group of individuals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who were interested in building their own airplanes. Through the decades, the organization expanded its mission to include antique and classic aircraft, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters and commercially manufactured aircraft.

This organization brings people together with an interest in recreational aviation, facilitating social interaction and information sharing between aviation enthusiasts. Many of the services that EAA offers provide valuable support resources for those that wish develop and improve various skills related to aircraft construction and restoration, piloting, aviation safety, and aviation education.

EAA is a national organization with local chapters all over the world. Information is shared through various publications, chapter newsletters, websites, air shows, and numerous other programs. .

You don't have to be a pilot or aircraft owner to be a member of EAA. You can find different ways to fulfill your aviation interest, whether it's in participating in EAA's Young Eagles (with a goal of giving one million kids an airplane ride) or visiting the world's premier aviation event . . . EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.
